The Next Room pack is a set of impulse responses which will allow you to make any sound seem like it’s coming another room in the house (a TV heard downstairs, or a conversation coming form the living room, for example).
This comes in handy in post-production for film and other audiovisual projects.
As you can see in the video above, the impulse responses did a good job at emulating their counterpart real spaces.
Adding to that, we also have the absence of noise and the flexibility of moving the sound source around in the sound field
With this in mind not only using the impulse responses seems like a valid substitute for the real thing, it may actually prove itself to be the superior choice.
