This is an experimental soundscape based on a similar idea used in Powers of Ten™ – an exploration of the Universe going from the microscopic Plank scale, passing by the Human scale, and zooming out into the Cosmic scale.
It was composed using mostly everyday sounds, and ocasionally some synthesis too. I was originally composed for headphones and subwoofer.
Did you know that the Simpsons also had an intro inspired by Powers of Ten™? It starts at the Simpson’s room and keep zooming out so much that the galaxy superclusters end up turning into atoms, molecules, ADN, cells, and then into Homer, and finally into the room again.
This “crazy” ideia is something know as a Strange Loop, and it fits into The Theory of Everything because this soundscape was composed to play in seamless, perfect loop – the beginning is the continuation of the end.
